Excellent Hood Fan

I purchased this after much research and Amazon killed the local distributors on the price. The first unit had a litte ding on one side due to shipping and the light ballast must have burned out. I called Amazon and they shipped me a new one with two day shipping at no additional cost and with a pre paid return label. The new one went up easily, looks and works great and my wife is tickled pink. This unit really moves some air and is not too loud. I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks Amazon, you will always have my business as long as your prices are competitive and the service is outstanding.

A nice hood

It took my brother and I a good 5 hours before we completed the installation due to our inexperience and because the existing cut out did not fit this range hood exhaust. If not for this, we would be able to finish the installation in much less time because the instruction is very clear and simple to understand. Once the hood was up, its simple and clean design gives my kitchen a very nice modern look. The stainless make it easy to clean. The dual fans are blowing strong, the light is brightly lit the stove below it. I have no problem so far and glad I bought it.

Nice looking range hood, but beware of lemons

THis range hood looks good, but could and should work better. I love the way this SS range hood looks with simple, clean lines, but the fan is loud on highest setting and even then doesn't pull enough air to prevent house from filling with cooking odor when cooking strong smelling items with a lot of onions, etc. Plus the energy efficient florescent light only worked for about three days, then stopped working. When I tried to order a replacement bulb I discovered that this type of bulb contains mercury. Had to have technician come out because problem was not with bulb but rather with wiring. Am now waiting for replacement part. Braun gave me number for service repair and has said problem will be fixed at no expense to me, but so far I'm still waiting for resolution to this problem.
